FREE RADIO SERVICE HOLLAND ON APRIL 5, 1998

The Free Radio Service Holland (FRSH) will be on the air again on a planned frequency of around 5,815 kHz, and hopefully also on 7,315 or 7,333 kHz. Their communiquees state:

In the mean time both txs have been tested, especially the modulation quality has been looked after. The results are very promising! Official trms start at 08.52 UTC but we are hoping to be on air at approx. 07.30 UTC. We can give no guarantee that 41 is also on but with a little luck....

Most likely there will be short tests on Saturday afternoon after the aerials have been erected. We also aim at putting out one hour of testing on or close to 5815 on Sat evening at 22.00 UTC which is 00.00 CEST on Sunday April 5th.

Reception reports are highly appreciated, it's the first time we are using our equipment on 51 metres making us very curious how results will be. Remember: Email reports are welcomed and consequently replied via the Internet. Reports via POBox 2727 in 6049 ZG Herten are replied with a QSL, info and a sticker provided sufficient return postage is enclosed: two US dollars, 2 IRC's, 3 German one Mark or 3 Dutch one guilder stamps.

FREE RADIO SERVICE HOLLAND/EUROPEAN MUSIC RADIO ON MARCH 22

On Sunday March 22, 1998 the Free Radio Service Holland (FRSH) and European Music Radio will have a joint broadcasts. Further details will after this weekend be available at FRSH's updated site, AND of course on this page!

Meanwhile I have now received further details from the FRSH about this transmission: It will start late in the evening of Saturday March 21 and will last till late in the evening of Sunday March 22. The frequency will probably be 6275 kHz.

On Sunday February the 22nd the Free Radio Service Holland will have a transmission from 08:50 to 12:00 UTC on 6245 kHz in the 48-meter band. The complete programme schedule is:

In order to allow us to prepare everything, we must have your contribution on Wednesday October 8th 1997. As far as the content of your birthay greeting is concerned: we leave it in your hands, but keep in mind: do it "Just a bit different"!!

Any nice/special FRS-Holland memory is of course a good (and welcome) possibility. We count on you.

In a new communiquée received through the Kiwi Radio Weekly the times and frequencies for the October 19 broadcasts:

5,805 kHz: Saturday October 18 evening to Sunday October 19 evening (repeated blocks)
6,280 kHz Sunday October 19 from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC
6,245 kHz Sunday October 19 from 07:30 to 13:00 UTC. This frequence will have a special "International Listeners Letter Show" at 12:00
